Banteay Chhmar is quite accessible for day trips from Siem Reap, Battambang and Sisophon. It is approximately 2.5 hours from Siem Reap or Battambang. And, about 1 hour from Sisophon. The CBT can help arrange transportation from these cities for a day trip.
Visitors can enjoy a full day of activities including a temple and village tour, lunch, and a special High Tea service with traditional music in the temple.
• 12:30 p.m. Welcome to Banteay Chhmar Community-Based Tourism (CBT) office. Lunch prepared by the CBT cooking group in the CBT restaurant, or as a picnic in the temple
• 1:30 p.m. Visit Banteay Chhmar Temple, the village and market area, silk center and some satellite temples by walking
• 4 p.m. Arrive back at Banteay Chhmar Temple for High Tea including soft drinks, tea, coffee, wine, some fruit, pastries and snacks. Also, enjoy listening to traditional Khmer music while relaxing.
• 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Travel back to your destination
