Tour Packages

Visitors can arrange a tour package through the CBT. These can be made both for individuals and groups. They can be as simple as two days and one night, or longer stays. Tour packages can also be customized to meet your needs and interests.

The CBT group will be happy to help you make your plans and offer you suggestions.  Some activities may need to be adjusted based on weather and road conditions. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Tour Package #1 - 2 Days and 1 Night

The tour package includes the following:
Accommodation for one night
Meals: Lunch (2x), Dinner (1x), Breakfast (1x)
All transportation during your stay in Banteay Chhmar
Local guide (English speaking)
Temple Entrance Fee ($5)
DAY 1
12:00 pmWelcome to Banteay Chhmar Community-Based Tourism (CBT) office.
Lunch prepared by a local women’s group under a straw hut and settling into your homestays.
2:30 pmVisit Banteay Chhmar Temple and Ta Prohm Temple
4:00 pmOx-cart tour through the village and stop at the Silk Center
7:00 pmAfter a short stop at the homestays, have dinner in the temple with traditional wooden torches
DAY 2
7:30 amBreakfast in your homestay prepared and delivered by CBT (or, in the CBT restaurant)
8:30 amWalk through Banteay Chhmar local market
9:00 amKuyon trip to Banteay Torp Temple. See rice fields and village life along the way.
12:00 pmLunch at Banteay Torp and departure to Sisophon

* Prices do not include transportation to/from Banteay Chhmar and personal expenses such as drinks and laundry. Activities subject to change and location based on road and weather conditions.

DAY 1
12:00 pmWelcome to Banteay Chhmar Community-Based Tourism (CBT) office.
Lunch prepared by a local women’s group under a straw hut and settling into your homestays.
2:30 pmVisit Banteay Chhmar Temple, west side by walking, see vegetable gardens (with farmers watering the plants) and visit to Ta Prohm Temple
7:00 pmAt Ta Prohm Temple mats will be provided and traditional wooden torches lit for a welcome dinner under the stars. Traditional musicians will provide music.
DAY 2
7:30 am

Breakfast in the homestays prepared and delivered by CBT
8:30 amWalk through Banteay Chhmar local market
9:00 amOx-cart tour to discover the Banteay Chhmar way of life (visit to the Silk Center, rice fields, stop at a farm…). Continue to the Pol Pot Baray by kuyon.
12:00 pmPicnic on a wooden platform at the baray, prepared by the CBT and possibility to take a nap in a hammock
3:30 pmOn the way back, visit to beekeeping and cassava farms
7:00 pmArrival at the homestays, enjoy the end of the day with your family and have dinner delivered by the CBT. Watch a rice flattening show and tasting afterwards.
DAY 3
7:30 amBreakfast in the CBT restaurant
9:00 amDeparture by kuyon (or your own vehicle) to visit Banteay Torp Temple
12:00 pmPicinic lunch at Banteay Torp and departure to Sisophon
